00:00:19.762 --> 00:00:22.050
I fell back in love with law enforcement.

00:00:24.286 --> 00:00:32.668
Welcome to Courageous Leadership with Travis Yates, where leaders find the insights, advice and encouragement they need to lead courageously.

00:00:34.359 --> 00:00:36.125
Welcome back to the show.

00:00:36.125 --> 00:00:45.194
I'm so honored that you are spending a few minutes with us here today, and I am excited about who we have on today's episode.

00:00:45.194 --> 00:00:48.686
With us today is Lamonte "Monte Bynum.

00:00:48.686 --> 00:00:52.362
He's a Marine Corps veteran and a 32 year public Servant.

00:00:52.362 --> 00:01:04.212
During his career, he pursued business ownership, business acquisition and cash flowing investments, and doing that allowed Monty the freedom to pursue a career and lifestyle that matched everything that he dreamed of.

00:01:04.212 --> 00:01:16.724
Monty's passion and purpose today is to now help first responders to have the freedom to pursue wellness and Fulfillment while serving, by equipping them with the tools they need to live financially free.

00:01:16.724 --> 00:01:18.847
Monty Bynum, how are you doing, sir?

00:01:19.632 --> 00:01:21.019
I'm doing great, Travis.

00:01:21.019 --> 00:01:21.965
Thank you so much.

00:01:21.965 --> 00:01:23.777
Wow, that was thank you.

00:01:23.777 --> 00:01:24.319
Thank you for that.

00:01:24.521 --> 00:01:27.340
I don't have enough time on the podcast to list everything you've done.

00:01:27.340 --> 00:01:28.965
But, man, you you are.

00:01:28.965 --> 00:01:35.745
You are living a life that I think a lot of people look at, monty, and they think, well, that's not me or that can't be me.

00:01:35.745 --> 00:01:41.349
We're gonna get into why first responders think that there's a whole mindset, as you know, that needs to be shifted.

00:01:41.349 --> 00:01:46.222
But before we get to that, I just kind of want to just throw it out there and say, man, how did you get here today like?

00:01:46.222 --> 00:01:57.293
You started, like most other people, military and law enforcement or first responder world and now you are Changing the lives of so many people through what you were able to do in your career.

00:01:57.293 --> 00:01:59.004
How did that all happen?

00:01:59.585 --> 00:02:01.111
Wow, wow, yeah.

00:02:01.111 --> 00:02:03.096
So it actually started.

00:02:03.096 --> 00:02:05.465
I Was a cop first.

00:02:05.465 --> 00:02:11.171
I started, you know, started in college and criminal justice.

00:02:11.171 --> 00:02:12.580
I knew I wanted two things.

00:02:12.580 --> 00:02:18.371
I told my mom my mom was a teacher, my, my father was a teacher, father's teacher.

00:02:18.371 --> 00:02:23.245
And I told her one day hey, I want to do two things, mom.

00:02:23.245 --> 00:02:25.691
I want to be a cop and I be want to be wealthy.

00:02:25.691 --> 00:02:27.724
And to her credit, she said it's totally possible.

00:02:27.724 --> 00:02:29.443
So I went to college.

00:02:29.443 --> 00:02:31.868
She only said the one caveat is you got a good.

00:02:32.409 --> 00:02:52.473
So I went to college and one of the internship programs was they would hook you up with a job in Ocean City, maryland, as a seasonal police officer and I got a chance to go down there and just wildest dreams never would have thought that I would have.

00:02:52.473 --> 00:02:59.183
Not only, you know, while still in college, got a chance to serve as a cop Can I badge and a gun and all that.

00:02:59.183 --> 00:03:02.532
But actually they had openings in the narcotics section.

00:03:02.532 --> 00:03:08.932
So I actually started as an undercover cop years ago and they just I got the bug.

00:03:08.932 --> 00:03:29.280
I got the bug for narcotics and, you know, moved on to, you know, after ocean city, moved on to my home state of Delaware and served there for a couple years and then Decided that I wanted to serve my country and finish my degree, join the Marine Corps, did that for a while and that was a fantastic experience.

00:03:29.280 --> 00:03:46.061
Got out and came to Georgia and you know, eventually I joined a Couple local departments and was recruited by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation where I served for approximately 12 years until last year and retired.

00:03:46.181 --> 00:03:57.620
So it has been a whirlwind and it's been fantastic that is yeah, wanyi, you're sending a little goosebumps up me because let me just tell you a quick story about myself.

00:03:57.620 --> 00:04:02.241
I grew up and my mother wasn't a teacher, but she was a high school Principal.

00:04:02.241 --> 00:04:03.725
My father was in law enforcement.

00:04:03.725 --> 00:04:04.568
My father okay, rain.

00:04:05.580 --> 00:04:09.412
My father began his long career in undercover narcotics in the 70s.

00:04:09.412 --> 00:04:11.304
Well, it's his first assignment.

00:04:11.304 --> 00:04:12.346
And yeah, man, that's.

00:04:12.346 --> 00:04:13.748
That's pretty crazy.

00:04:13.748 --> 00:04:17.848
Although when I told my parents I wanted to be a cop, they did not give me any illusions I'd ever be rich.

00:04:17.947 --> 00:04:26.416
So kudos to your mother but, and, like you, I retired last year as well, after 30 years of service.

00:04:26.416 --> 00:04:34.036
Man, it's amazing stuff and when I look at what you're doing, I think it's what a lot of people look at as they get near the end of their career.

00:04:34.036 --> 00:04:36.423
Money and they think to themselves and I can just tell you how I thought.

00:04:36.423 --> 00:04:45.720
I thought, hey, they kind of fib to me in the academy like they told me Pension would be fine and there would be nothing to worry about, and they left a few caveats out.

00:04:46.163 --> 00:04:47.699
I don't know they left out inflation.

00:04:49.423 --> 00:04:58.887
They left out the fact that a lot of law enforcement that retires in their 50s and sometimes in the 40s, have a long life to live past that and Financially it's a different world.

00:04:58.887 --> 00:05:05.971
And so a lot of cops and I'm sure you've seen this money they wait until near retirement or after retirement to start studying the financial things.

00:05:06.540 --> 00:05:08.307
Yeah you did many, many years ago.

00:05:08.307 --> 00:05:16.519
Tell us why and how you kind of got started doing that and sort of the what you found out, you know, along the way, because I'm sure you made every mistake in the world.

00:05:16.519 --> 00:05:17.002
That's why.

00:05:17.002 --> 00:05:19.737
That's why you're coaching people today to try to I love you could.

00:05:19.757 --> 00:05:23.827
hey, that's why you're a doctor, because you, you know, I didn't have a day.

00:05:23.827 --> 00:05:25.793
Yes, I made the mistakes, that's correct.

00:05:26.420 --> 00:05:28.329
Well, no, I mean everybody does.

00:05:30.199 --> 00:05:35.100
Anybody that gets outside the box of the narrative money like you're outside the box Most cops don't do what you did.

00:05:35.151 --> 00:05:36.262
They just stay in the box.

00:05:36.262 --> 00:05:42.975
They get to paycheck every two weeks, they work their extra jobs and then move on down the road, but anybody that steps out of that box, there's nobody to help you.

00:05:42.975 --> 00:05:46.266
You did it on your own, so I know from being a business owner myself.

00:05:46.266 --> 00:05:51.189
You've made all the mistakes to begin with, which is so awesome that fact that you're helping people now to try to prevent that.

00:05:51.189 --> 00:05:59.105
So just gonna tell us how that journey started, because they say that the difference in success and failure in business is the people that were successful Just kept going.

00:06:02.101 --> 00:06:15.754
Yeah, so Early on, kind of like you, you know, I had a bunch of great mentors and I remember I had one I'm new cast of County Delo, or shout out to them I had a great mentor.

00:06:15.754 --> 00:06:17.279
This guy literally was like Superman.

00:06:17.279 --> 00:06:23.533
I mean, if you this, this was a fantastic officer, fantastic presence, fantastic mindset.

00:06:23.533 --> 00:06:31.908
And he said he turned to me one day and said you know, I hope you were learning to develop Additional income because you can't count on just one.

00:06:31.908 --> 00:06:34.903
And he said he held up his extra pair of Handcuffs.

00:06:34.903 --> 00:06:36.988
He said if you got one, you got none.

00:06:36.988 --> 00:06:40.959
And he said remember that you're always gonna be back up with everything.

00:06:40.959 --> 00:06:42.865
And that stuck with me.

00:06:42.865 --> 00:06:47.279
And then he said this retirement is not gonna be anything.

00:06:47.279 --> 00:06:49.185
It's not gonna be what you really think it is.

00:06:49.185 --> 00:06:50.608
He said just do the bath.

00:06:50.608 --> 00:06:51.651
That stuck with me.

00:06:51.651 --> 00:07:02.266
And Ever since I always looked at the math most of us are ever is based and when we do the math, when you actually sit down and do the math, it just it did make sense.

00:07:02.266 --> 00:07:17.086
And then when I would ask hey, could you explain how this 401k is actually supposed to work, because it really seems to give us all the bad stuff and not really any of the great stuff and most of human resources couldn't explain it.

00:07:17.086 --> 00:07:24.134
So I Was very fortunate when I started, like you said, I learned how to do side hustles.

00:07:24.134 --> 00:07:32.687
I didn't understand what the difference between a side hustle and a business was and I was very fortunate to have Another mentor said hey, man, you're doing wrong.

00:07:32.687 --> 00:07:40.019
I was dog tired, I was working long shifts and then I would do my other aside hustles and I didn't have businesses.

00:07:40.019 --> 00:07:43.137
I had sign also, just warm me up Eventually.

00:07:43.156 --> 00:07:45.425
A mentor, you know, hey, this is how we build a business.

00:07:45.425 --> 00:07:50.021
We Build systems and we look at profits.

00:07:50.021 --> 00:07:51.726
We look at, you know, revenue.

00:07:51.726 --> 00:07:53.884
We do all these things and we've learned these things.

00:07:53.884 --> 00:08:00.026
We got a loan, these, you know what, what these, what these definitions are.

00:08:00.026 --> 00:08:02.415
We've got to, you know, get mentors.

00:08:02.415 --> 00:08:04.540
We've got to have a real purpose.

00:08:04.540 --> 00:08:08.821
Just like when you went to the academy, there was a SOP or how to do things.

00:08:08.821 --> 00:08:09.702
There was a standard.

00:08:09.702 --> 00:08:12.468
You know training process as you do these things.

00:08:12.468 --> 00:08:14.019
That's what you have to do.

00:08:14.019 --> 00:08:26.125
When, if you're gonna be an entrepreneur and you said, look, you know, if you mimic, this is what you're gonna get, you think that's how business works and that's not so.

00:08:26.125 --> 00:08:31.654
Invest in yourself, get a coach and they're gonna help you build systems.

00:08:31.654 --> 00:08:37.214
They're gonna help you leverage your time, leverage your resources, and that is one of true businesses.

00:08:37.214 --> 00:08:46.783
A business is something that operates without you and generates income without you, and that's like you said.

00:08:47.977 --> 00:08:55.432
Throughout three years I made mistakes and Typically it was when I did not humble myself and say, hey, you don't know everything in this field.

00:08:55.432 --> 00:09:03.429
I've owned everything from transportation companies to marketing companies, to a bar restaurant, to a computer software company.

00:09:03.429 --> 00:09:06.480
We own several laundry mats.

00:09:06.480 --> 00:09:10.807
We own a couple of commercial Businesses, a couple commercial real estate.

00:09:10.807 --> 00:09:11.470
Yeah, I got it.

00:09:11.470 --> 00:09:16.187
Every time I failed, I did not humble myself and I didn't learn from an expert.

00:09:16.187 --> 00:09:26.586
I didn't learn from someone else and I realized that Pretty much the only reason that you know folks in law enforcement left was hey, guess what?

00:09:27.596 --> 00:09:29.541
I got a job and it would crush me.

00:09:29.541 --> 00:09:38.458
Here are the most amazing people Out there and I say this all the time Travis, we're a different breed.

00:09:38.458 --> 00:09:41.485
We just are, yeah, and constantly.

00:09:41.485 --> 00:09:43.067
You know our leaders and everyone else.

00:09:43.067 --> 00:09:47.479
They want to put us with everyone else and I get it Sort of.

00:09:47.479 --> 00:09:58.461
But we are a different breed who decides to put their hand up and say, yes, I will go into Danger, I'll be the one that chase down the bad guys.

00:09:58.461 --> 00:10:05.061
I won't be the one that'll miss these you know Important times with my family to protect your family.

00:10:05.061 --> 00:10:07.225
That's pretty selfless person.

00:10:07.225 --> 00:10:12.754
That's a pretty amazing person and it would break my heart literally.

00:10:12.754 --> 00:10:18.677
I I see these guys that I would work with and shared you know great times laughs and angry, oh hey.

00:10:18.677 --> 00:10:21.865
And see these guys leaving and ask what, what are you doing?

00:10:21.865 --> 00:10:23.679
Yeah, I got a great job.

00:10:23.679 --> 00:10:25.639
Great job.

00:10:25.639 --> 00:10:30.361
You just spent 20 to 30 years busting your hump.

00:10:30.361 --> 00:10:32.225
You're gonna work for someone else.

00:10:32.225 --> 00:10:37.505
I just it would scare me, yeah what's interesting, monty, is, is we.

00:10:37.746 --> 00:10:39.452
We do this extensive background checks.

00:10:39.452 --> 00:10:42.764
We give Police officers more power than the president.

00:10:42.764 --> 00:10:45.100
We had the power to take human life on American soil.

00:10:45.139 --> 00:11:05.027
The president, united States, doesn't even have that authority, and we give them all this, you know responsibility, and then we get them inside a police department and then we make them think, hey, this is all you can do, this is it and I speak to law enforcement professionals all the time and it's a mindset they literally think that this is it.

00:11:05.027 --> 00:11:06.817
They get comfortable with what this is.

00:11:06.817 --> 00:11:11.134
Well, the problem is is that will not sustain you past the working age in law.

00:11:11.495 --> 00:11:12.780
Right, but then what is?

00:11:12.780 --> 00:11:13.583
What is this, though?

00:11:13.583 --> 00:11:23.458
And that's the funny thing, because you know, and I know we've we've had supervisors that would come to us and say hey, travis, guess what?

00:11:23.458 --> 00:11:26.846
I need you to put together a presentation for the community.

00:11:26.846 --> 00:11:32.148
Oh and, by the way, I need you also to, you know, set up an ops plan for this tactical operation.

00:11:32.148 --> 00:11:34.798
Oh and oh, by the way, I need you to set up a by-blast.

00:11:34.798 --> 00:11:49.452
And oh, by the way, what I realized was You're right, it's just a mindset that that we we have in our head, but really we are perfectly situated For being an entrepreneur.

00:11:49.513 --> 00:11:49.773
Why?

00:11:49.773 --> 00:11:51.836
Because we're creative problem solvers.

00:11:51.836 --> 00:12:07.065
We don't have all the answers, but we constantly have to, we have to win, we have the option of failure, we literally have the public there after us, we have leadership sometimes are after us, and then we have prosecutors even sometimes are after us.

00:12:07.065 --> 00:12:09.855
We have zero room for error.

00:12:09.855 --> 00:12:10.856
That's amazing.

00:12:10.856 --> 00:12:13.422
So it's just like you said.

00:12:13.422 --> 00:12:23.673
It is A mindset, but that can be easily shifted, and then they realize, when they start taking inventory I've done a lot of cool things.

00:12:23.975 --> 00:12:26.418
I actually have done these things to your point.

00:12:26.418 --> 00:12:34.900
I am, you know, I have been able to Carry out this tremendous responsibility at high level.

00:12:34.900 --> 00:12:37.995
Sure, you know, don't you know doing this product?

00:12:37.995 --> 00:12:40.340
So this thing, whatever, it's nothing.

00:12:40.340 --> 00:12:43.731
I just need to learn the ins and outs.

00:12:43.731 --> 00:12:44.472
That's nothing.

00:12:44.472 --> 00:12:53.173
They realize that that's what we spend a lot of time helping and we spend a lot of time on the mental part of this.

00:12:53.173 --> 00:13:05.817
First, because once we clear out those news things like a posture syndrome or limited beliefs about money or you know, all these blocks now your mind is open.

00:13:05.817 --> 00:13:08.380
Now you're like, okay, I've got all that.

00:13:08.380 --> 00:13:14.514
Now I went from, like you said, having blocks I can't to what else can I do?

00:13:14.514 --> 00:13:17.803
I can do anything and it's amazing to see this blossom.

00:13:17.803 --> 00:13:19.809
It really is like these guys blossomed to.

00:13:19.809 --> 00:13:23.979
They come in like I would like to to yeah, I'm going to.

00:13:23.979 --> 00:13:28.067
They just completely change your language and there's only like rockets.

00:13:28.067 --> 00:13:29.210
It's just truly amazing.

00:13:29.831 --> 00:13:33.678
Well, and I it's so bad in the profession.

00:13:33.678 --> 00:13:38.809
As far as that imposter syndrome, I can remember guys or gals leaving it right at pension 20 years.

00:13:38.809 --> 00:13:43.721
They got to pitch and they left, and leaders in the department are like what are you doing?

00:13:43.721 --> 00:13:48.070
You haven't maxed that pension out, you haven't done this, you haven't got this much in your forward.

00:13:48.070 --> 00:13:49.952
Why are you leaving so early?

00:13:49.952 --> 00:13:56.586
Because there's this mindset that this is it, and the people, though, that I saw that had your mindset money, this.

00:13:56.586 --> 00:13:59.009
I'm more than this, I am capable of more than this.

00:13:59.009 --> 00:14:13.063
They have just gone gangbusters, right, they have really exploded, because what I think law enforcement are all first responders don't understand is this you have unique skills and abilities that most people don't have just through the job you had to do.

00:14:13.404 --> 00:14:13.865
That's right.

00:14:13.885 --> 00:14:18.553
But they just need to transition that To outside of the profession.

00:14:18.553 --> 00:14:24.443
So someone's listen to this money and and maybe I'm just going to give you a, you know, give you a demographic here.

00:14:24.443 --> 00:14:28.090
There there are 22 years and they could retire, but they're hanging on a little longer.

00:14:28.090 --> 00:14:35.087
But they, they think they can do more, they want to make more money, they want to have more freedom to be with their family, but they just don't know where to start.

00:14:35.087 --> 00:14:36.009
What would you tell them?

00:14:36.932 --> 00:14:37.815
Yeah, that's, that's.

00:14:37.815 --> 00:14:42.326
That is everybody that we literally very few really know.

00:14:42.326 --> 00:14:46.015
And the first thing is Is we have to get clear with your vision.

00:14:46.015 --> 00:14:47.239
What do you want?

00:14:47.239 --> 00:14:53.653
And often times they they misinterpret, they think I'm talking money and it's, it's not.

00:14:53.653 --> 00:14:57.461
I mean, which is it's good, you're talking live, right, live, talking live, style, what?

00:14:57.461 --> 00:15:04.552
So we've got to have a real clear vision about you know, personal and professional In your dream vision.

00:15:04.552 --> 00:15:06.315
That's what we need.

00:15:06.315 --> 00:15:10.159
You see, you know goals, where we come from, not to that's.

00:15:10.159 --> 00:15:11.682
Often times we get it backwards.

00:15:11.682 --> 00:15:15.426
We think, well, that's where I want to go, where is that?

00:15:15.426 --> 00:15:17.653
Tell me where you really want to go.

00:15:18.514 --> 00:15:26.106
Okay, money, when they really kind of, you know, sit down and realize it's, it's, it's open there, the author of their new chapters they study.

00:15:26.106 --> 00:15:28.090
Okay, here's, here's my picture.

00:15:28.090 --> 00:15:38.465
I want to create a business that I earn passive income of approximately thirty thousand dollars or more a year or a month.

00:15:38.465 --> 00:15:47.961
I own no less than four businesses that I have managers that actually take care of the day to day, etc.

00:15:47.961 --> 00:15:48.282
Etc.

00:15:48.282 --> 00:15:48.663
Etc.

00:15:48.663 --> 00:15:51.886
I'm able to, you know, work out when I want, I'm able to.

00:15:51.886 --> 00:15:53.809
You know, travel when I want, I'm able to.

00:15:53.809 --> 00:15:56.153
So, when they get that kind of clarity.

00:15:56.153 --> 00:15:57.636
Now we have a filter.

00:15:57.636 --> 00:16:01.864
Now we know some things that we can and can't do, some things that we really won't do.

00:16:01.864 --> 00:16:04.653
And that is that's the beginning.

00:16:05.195 --> 00:16:09.142
People think, well, I can, let me just have a general idea.

00:16:09.142 --> 00:16:10.104
Well, that's not going to work.

00:16:10.104 --> 00:16:11.951
We moved to the Canada.

00:16:11.951 --> 00:16:13.293
We didn't have a general idea.

00:16:13.293 --> 00:16:14.875
It was very specific.

00:16:14.875 --> 00:16:15.496
We had that.

00:16:15.496 --> 00:16:18.280
We had the twenty six week you know outline.

00:16:18.280 --> 00:16:20.244
Like you know, gosh, we're gonna be doing all this.

00:16:20.244 --> 00:16:28.750
Well, it was at first pretty daunting, but later on we realized, hey, it's a whole script here.

00:16:28.750 --> 00:16:30.245
It's actually all laid out.

00:16:30.245 --> 00:16:31.464
I just got to follow the plan.

00:16:31.464 --> 00:16:34.121
I'll make it Same thing here.

00:16:34.121 --> 00:16:42.114
If you don't understand where you really want to go, you're just going to end up on a treadmill and not moving anywhere.

00:16:42.114 --> 00:16:47.028
So that's the first thing Figure out really where you want to go and don't worry about why.

00:16:47.028 --> 00:16:47.730
I don't know how.

00:16:47.730 --> 00:16:49.905
I don't know how I'm going to come over resources.

00:16:49.905 --> 00:16:50.488
I don't know.

00:16:50.488 --> 00:16:51.884
That's not your job.

00:16:51.884 --> 00:16:54.787
It's the first thing you do on what you truly want.

00:16:54.787 --> 00:16:57.865
You do that and then we're halfway there.

00:16:59.041 --> 00:17:03.171
Yeah, there has to be some almost self-sabotage sometimes, right?

00:17:03.171 --> 00:17:06.627
Oh yeah, Because I don't think people outside of law enforcement listen to this.

00:17:06.627 --> 00:17:12.250
Understand, when you talk about imposter syndrome and I can't, I can't, I can't, that is huge man.

00:17:12.250 --> 00:17:20.490
And I mean, even though I've always done things outside of law enforcement, every day and every morning I got to get my Bible out and talk myself out of that imposter syndrome.

00:17:20.680 --> 00:17:30.768
You know, I've got to because, because, even though I didn't believe it, you're inside the culture that is all around you that says this is who you are, You're not Travis Shates, you're police major.

00:17:30.768 --> 00:17:35.807
You know you're not Travis Shates, you're a cop, and your whole world revolves around that.

00:17:35.807 --> 00:17:39.750
And when you get outside of that, in this entrepreneur world, well, here's what I've realized.

00:17:39.750 --> 00:17:47.488
Monty, Of course you realize that a lot longer before me unfortunately, I was not on your heels is there's a whole big world out there that we don't even know about.

00:17:48.029 --> 00:17:50.098
Yeah, and here's the thing.

00:17:50.098 --> 00:18:06.131
You know, travis, growing up I think we're, you know, probably close in age, you know I always thought the police were like one that could do no wrong and they just had the most amazing job and could do everything.

00:18:06.131 --> 00:18:08.361
And that's the thing it's.

00:18:08.361 --> 00:18:10.805
Now we view it as limiting.

00:18:10.805 --> 00:18:14.772
Where we know to be successful in this job it's not.

00:18:14.772 --> 00:18:29.230
The challenges are almost unlimited, but nearly every single day there's millions of officers that succeed, you know, every day, and rise the occasion to the challenges.

00:18:29.230 --> 00:18:34.810
That's evidence every single day that being an entrepreneur is nothing.

00:18:36.121 --> 00:18:37.968
And see, it's really about your viewpoint.

00:18:37.968 --> 00:18:39.444
It depends on how you view it.

00:18:39.444 --> 00:18:50.327
Everybody else on the outside that doesn't understand what it is to be a cop says you know, you're just a cop, really, really Well, I'm one of the best negotiators out there.

00:18:50.327 --> 00:18:53.068
I know how to talk to you know to different demographics.

00:18:53.068 --> 00:18:55.307
I know how to you know get people to do what I want.

00:18:55.307 --> 00:19:00.770
I know how to you know, physically be in shape and then take care of myself.

00:19:00.770 --> 00:19:03.365
I know how to work undercover.

00:19:03.365 --> 00:19:04.565
I know how to work under stress.

00:19:04.565 --> 00:19:05.984
I know all these things.

00:19:05.984 --> 00:19:07.865
That's a person that can do anything.

00:19:07.865 --> 00:19:09.566
We just label it differently.

00:19:09.566 --> 00:19:10.805
Some of us label it differently.

00:19:10.805 --> 00:19:32.108
I think, if we really step in and push back to all these people that want to, you know, giving and supplying us with living beliefs, if we step into the power of that, what other career, what other career allows us to do so much and meet all these challenges and provide us with all the evidence that we literally could do anything?

00:19:32.108 --> 00:19:34.025
No, I mean, that's the way I choose to live.

00:19:34.065 --> 00:19:35.788
Yeah, the profession is amazing.

00:19:35.788 --> 00:19:36.590
I want people to know this.

00:19:36.590 --> 00:19:49.289
Just in my knowledge, I looked across the hallway one day when NYPD came out with their first podcast in the country Really, this is way back in the late 90s or 2000s and I asked this guy next to me, I go how can we didn't have a podcast?

00:19:49.289 --> 00:19:50.262
He goes what is that?

00:19:50.262 --> 00:19:53.146
And I told the guy to put it up and he worked for me.

00:19:53.146 --> 00:19:55.165
So he did it, but within 30 minutes he had it up.

00:19:55.165 --> 00:19:56.172
He figured it out.

00:19:56.172 --> 00:19:57.308
Same thing with the.

00:19:57.390 --> 00:19:58.359
Department of New Website.

00:19:58.359 --> 00:19:59.705
They didn't have any money to do a website.

00:19:59.705 --> 00:20:07.664
So I looked at this guy and I said, figure it out and get it done, and in three months the dude had done a fantastic website we were so adaptable.

00:20:07.664 --> 00:20:12.009
And when it comes to the business world, entrepreneur world, that's gold, Is it not?

00:20:12.009 --> 00:20:12.881
Yeah?

00:20:13.082 --> 00:20:13.683
absolutely.

00:20:13.683 --> 00:20:18.490
And it's not only that we don't know fail.

00:20:18.490 --> 00:20:26.308
So on the outside, again I hate to really criticize, but again we're a different breed and I'm speaking to our people out there.

00:20:26.308 --> 00:20:27.643
We're a different breed.

00:20:27.643 --> 00:20:31.048
Too often civilians will just fail, they'll sit down.

00:20:31.048 --> 00:20:32.644
But we don't have that option.

00:20:32.644 --> 00:20:33.984
We never had that option.

00:20:33.984 --> 00:20:36.547
The major just told me I got to get this website up.

00:20:36.547 --> 00:20:37.048
Guess what?

00:20:37.048 --> 00:20:38.765
I'm getting this website up.

00:20:38.765 --> 00:20:42.769
We will make phone calls on the benos to the major all over the place to figure this out.

00:20:42.769 --> 00:20:47.663
We will figure out how we're going to make this operation happen and make sure everybody goes home.

00:20:47.663 --> 00:20:50.650
We will figure it out and we'll get it done.

00:20:50.650 --> 00:20:51.333
That's a great point.

00:20:51.373 --> 00:20:52.537
Bonnie, it's a great point.

00:20:52.537 --> 00:20:57.457
I mean, I couldn't remember like two years ago I was tasked with doing an annual report.

00:20:57.457 --> 00:20:58.492
Now I can write.

00:20:58.693 --> 00:21:00.755
I can write, but I couldn't do any graphics.

00:21:01.150 --> 00:21:06.238
I ended up going and paying some graphic due with my own money to get it done, because I was told to get it done.

00:21:06.238 --> 00:21:09.836
And you're so right when you say we do not fail, we do whatever it takes.

00:21:10.278 --> 00:21:10.659
That's right.

00:21:10.659 --> 00:21:12.255
So why would you not?

00:21:12.255 --> 00:21:16.836
The only reason, the only reason, is we don't know how to do it ourselves.

00:21:16.836 --> 00:21:20.198
So then we start to we have really bad self-talk.

00:21:20.198 --> 00:21:23.978
Well, that's not true, and that's where I kind of get the people to get my hands on.

00:21:23.978 --> 00:21:26.336
Hey, that's not what a true business person does.

00:21:27.609 --> 00:21:30.097
And I see I learned this in the Marine Corps.

00:21:30.097 --> 00:21:34.694
The Marine Corps, I didn't get to do a lot of cool stuff as much as the operators.

00:21:34.694 --> 00:21:42.180
I was an officer, and so in the Marine Corps, yes, we've got to learn and know most everybody's job, but we're truly a leader.

00:21:42.180 --> 00:21:43.454
My job is to recruit.

00:21:43.454 --> 00:21:52.538
Well, my job is to give my folks all the resources they need to succeed, and that's what you do as an entrepreneur.

00:21:52.538 --> 00:21:54.314
You're a boss.

00:21:54.314 --> 00:21:55.372
You.

00:21:55.932 --> 00:21:58.199
It's not about you know how much you know.

00:21:58.199 --> 00:22:04.220
It's about recruiting and putting together this fantastic team to get the mission done.

00:22:04.220 --> 00:22:10.372
So that should really take off the pressure instead of what we normally do as officers.

00:22:10.372 --> 00:22:10.994
It's on us.

00:22:10.994 --> 00:22:13.415
We got to get the job done.

00:22:13.415 --> 00:22:15.916
In business, you put a team together.

00:22:15.916 --> 00:22:18.659
It's not about you know how you're gonna do it.

00:22:18.659 --> 00:22:21.737
It's like ask a different question who knows how to do this?

00:22:21.737 --> 00:22:23.255
Well, the major knows how to do this.

00:22:23.255 --> 00:22:24.713
He speaks all the time.

00:22:24.713 --> 00:22:29.114
He knows how to put together a fantastic problem, a fantastic program.

00:22:29.114 --> 00:22:32.278
He knows how to, you know, do these trainings.

00:22:32.278 --> 00:22:33.073
He knows how to.

00:22:33.073 --> 00:22:34.217
That's who I'm gonna talk to.

00:22:34.217 --> 00:22:37.474
I'm gonna talk to him about, you know, I wanna have a coaching program.

00:22:37.474 --> 00:22:38.353
I wanna have a speaking.

00:22:38.353 --> 00:22:39.973
You know, that's who I'm gonna talk to.

00:22:39.973 --> 00:22:51.279
We have to ask better questions and we really have to get clear with our vision, because it's totally doable and I truly I want them to have the option.

00:22:51.789 --> 00:22:58.759
I so for the last 10 years I had no idea how much I was making.

00:22:58.759 --> 00:23:05.074
I was financially and I'm not bragging, just saying that it is possible to live free, to totally live free.

00:23:05.074 --> 00:23:17.680
I was able to move to an agency that it was my dream job, to be a special agent with the Georgia Bear Investigation, a fantastic organization, and I mean you couldn't dream up a better position.

00:23:17.680 --> 00:23:28.257
And because I wasn't tied to income and wasn't tied to a job or advancement, I could move and eventually get my dream job.

00:23:28.257 --> 00:23:31.858
That's why I want law enforcement to have options.

00:23:32.670 --> 00:23:40.390
So if you really enjoy which I hope you do enjoy being in law enforcement, being financially free takes that burden off.

00:23:40.390 --> 00:23:42.057
It allows you to.

00:23:42.057 --> 00:23:59.190
When you're off, you're off and you pour into being healthy and wealthy and fulfilled and taking that stress off and decompressing and being with the most important people in your world, and then you become a better officer.

00:23:59.190 --> 00:24:12.176
If we part of leadership, if we put this into, you know new kind of understanding, we're gonna get better products, we're gonna get better service, we're gonna get better officers.

00:24:12.176 --> 00:24:18.799
But, to your point, what you're teaching is sometimes leadership is a little stubborn.

00:24:19.517 --> 00:24:36.134
Yeah, it's a little bit stubborn, it's a little bit incestual, right when we're learning from others and we shouldn't be learning from them, and but I think that goes to the mindset that we're talking about, and I think we've I mean, I spent a couple of hours just trying to convince people that you are much more than what you think you are.

00:24:36.134 --> 00:24:43.858
And, of course, the last several years has been extremely brutal for law enforcement and you know they get blamed for literally everything.

00:24:43.950 --> 00:24:45.596
Sometimes they have meters that blame them for everything.

00:24:45.596 --> 00:24:51.919
What I love about what you're talking about, monty, is it puts the control in the individual's hands.

00:24:51.919 --> 00:25:04.692
Right, and I would assume, when you talk about financial freedom, entrepreneurship and processes, that you want them to start with their vision, but you want that vision to encompass what they want to do, what their interest are Because where their?

00:25:04.692 --> 00:25:06.914
Interest are, is probably where their skill set is, is it?

00:25:06.934 --> 00:25:08.400
not Exactly.

00:25:08.400 --> 00:25:10.414
You know we're not a cookie cutter.

00:25:10.414 --> 00:25:15.595
You know coaching organization at all, I mean it is.

00:25:15.595 --> 00:25:19.063
We totally want your vision.

00:25:19.063 --> 00:25:20.736
If you just want to be a speaker, great.

00:25:20.736 --> 00:25:24.518
If you want to, you know.

00:25:24.518 --> 00:25:33.898
If you want to have a farm and that's your side business and that's where you eventually okay, then let's make that a business and not a hustle where you now have two jobs.

00:25:33.898 --> 00:25:40.016
It is absolutely about what you want to do and that's the important thing.

00:25:40.016 --> 00:25:42.718
That's where your energy is going to really flow.

00:25:42.718 --> 00:25:46.375
That's not saying it's going to be easy, because I'm not one of those.

00:25:46.375 --> 00:25:52.894
It takes all our work, but understanding that you're going to work hard either way if you're going to be successful.

00:25:52.894 --> 00:25:57.935
Where do you want that hard work, you know, to pay off, for someone else or for you?

00:25:59.430 --> 00:26:11.395
I want to tell our audience just a quick story, and if you're just now join us, I'm talking to Monty Bynum, marine Corps veteran, 32-year-old public servant, known as the wealthy servant on all the social media pages and this is just gold.

00:26:11.395 --> 00:26:14.534
Folks, you better turn around and back us up and listen to it again.

00:26:14.534 --> 00:26:18.704
But I want to tell you a quick story that I think goes to the heart of what you're talking about.

00:26:18.704 --> 00:26:24.704
So I was called a couple of weeks ago from a girl that used to work for me.

00:26:24.704 --> 00:26:25.873
She's now retired.

00:26:25.873 --> 00:26:27.442
She didn't get fully vested, she's, but she's vested.

00:26:27.442 --> 00:26:27.704
Eventually.

00:26:27.704 --> 00:26:32.310
She got 10 years in but she wants to be more of their family and her kids and she's been missing a lot of that.

00:26:32.846 --> 00:26:39.684
But about about a year ago I had a real bad cough and she says hey, I make these concoctions through natural herbs.

00:26:39.684 --> 00:26:41.704
Of course I'm like you know whatever?

00:26:41.704 --> 00:26:45.082
Well, she gave me this thing and all the, all the stuff that the farmers.

00:26:45.082 --> 00:26:45.684
She didn't help me.

00:26:45.684 --> 00:26:49.704
I take one shot of this stuff and it was just cured instantly.

00:26:49.704 --> 00:26:51.191
So I tell her I go.

00:26:51.191 --> 00:26:54.704
I don't know what you're doing, but no one else is really doing this and it's pretty amazing.

00:26:54.704 --> 00:27:02.704
She goes oh yeah, I've been going to some of the the outside fairs and and the herbal groups and it's very, very popular and I said I think you have something here.

00:27:03.066 --> 00:27:17.401
Well, long story short, she's now building her business around this idea that she loves, which is natural herbs to make people more healthy and more well, and she's obviously working on the marketing and the funnels and all the differences.

00:27:17.401 --> 00:27:17.982
She's learning it right.

00:27:17.982 --> 00:27:18.704
She's learning all this stuff.

00:27:18.704 --> 00:27:26.282
And I told her, I said this is going and her husband, who's also in law enforcement, has the mindset of what are you doing?

00:27:26.282 --> 00:27:32.684
You're now leaving, you're not getting the full pension, and she tells him there's only so much money you can make eight hours a day.

00:27:32.684 --> 00:27:45.778
She said, well, this is going to be special and it's special because she, that's her interest, that's her passion, and as soon as she plugs in the processes that you coach people on, monty, it's going to be a winner.

00:27:46.019 --> 00:27:46.704
And it's just, oh, absolutely.

00:27:47.832 --> 00:27:55.684
And so you talk about coaching, monty, and I want to mention that briefly because I think you talked about sort of the mindset or the stubbornness of our profession.

00:27:55.684 --> 00:27:59.704
We sort of think we don't need that help, right, it's just a personality thing.

00:27:59.704 --> 00:28:03.259
We're out there on the road ourselves dealing with the craziest things ever.

00:28:03.259 --> 00:28:04.704
Maybe you have a backer, maybe you don't.

00:28:04.704 --> 00:28:09.185
And we had this sort of mindset after a while that, hey, I don't need anybody else's help.

00:28:09.185 --> 00:28:14.596
But the truth is the every billionaire on this planet has a success coach.

00:28:15.157 --> 00:28:19.315
That's right, the greatest golf players take a coach with them everywhere, that's right.

00:28:19.315 --> 00:28:21.336
Everybody that's been successful.

00:28:21.336 --> 00:28:22.704
They still have a coach.

00:28:22.704 --> 00:28:26.798
Tell us the importance of this and why we need to be considering this.

00:28:27.421 --> 00:28:28.704
Yeah, absolutely, and it drives me.

00:28:28.704 --> 00:28:36.156
There's one thing that drives me crazy is when people well, you see everyone's well, self-made, self-made million.

00:28:36.156 --> 00:28:36.878
That drives me.

00:28:36.878 --> 00:28:38.704
It's not true, it's never true.

00:28:38.704 --> 00:28:44.336
And if you ever see that, by the way, run away and I will tell you how about the?

00:28:44.375 --> 00:28:44.836
how about the?

00:28:44.836 --> 00:28:49.131
I just made $40,000 doing digital marketing in my first month's run away from the world.

00:28:49.632 --> 00:28:50.314
Right.

00:28:50.314 --> 00:28:54.965
Run away from that is exactly, yeah, exactly, yeah, we're.

00:28:54.965 --> 00:29:13.595
We're all about like, doing the work, we're all about doing the right things and having a coach helps you focus, helps you be able to, like you said, every successful person that really wanted to go to the next level had a coach.

00:29:13.595 --> 00:29:21.455
If we all think about when we were back at the academy, we, we didn't like those coaches, but they call them different, those DIs.

00:29:21.455 --> 00:29:23.704
But those are the folks that got us through.

00:29:23.704 --> 00:29:28.684
They didn't just hand us a badge and a gun, they wouldn't walk us through the process.

00:29:28.684 --> 00:29:32.275
We, there was a whole process where we understood the evolution.

00:29:32.275 --> 00:29:38.290
Hey, we weren't worthy day one, we weren't, we had bad attitudes, we weren't, weren't working as a team.

00:29:38.290 --> 00:29:46.194
Suddenly we, we, you know we're still thinking as individuals, but halfway through we started to think as as as a team and more about the mission.

00:29:46.194 --> 00:29:51.516
And then it changed with the, you know, our DIs turned from DIs to coaches.

00:29:51.516 --> 00:30:08.704
And then it was they started to kind of mentor us and kind of start us, you know, for the FTO program, that started to be more meant to, you know, into that coaching process towards the end, getting us ready for the FTO program and getting us ready for that mindset.

00:30:08.704 --> 00:30:12.413
That's exactly what we do is in the beginning.

00:30:12.413 --> 00:30:20.915
It's the whole process of the Crawl Walk Run and we can, we can.

00:30:21.396 --> 00:30:24.644
The truth is, travis, you don't need a coach.

00:30:24.644 --> 00:30:28.704
Question is do you want to go faster?

00:30:28.704 --> 00:30:30.704
Do you want to avoid some of the pitfalls?

00:30:30.704 --> 00:30:35.704
Do you want to really max out your potential?

00:30:35.704 --> 00:30:39.516
Because if you do yes, then you need a coach.

00:30:39.516 --> 00:30:41.684
Yeah, I can go to the gym and work out.

00:30:41.684 --> 00:30:45.194
I don't need a coach If I want to get to the next level.

00:30:45.194 --> 00:30:48.392
It's good investment and that's really what happens here.

00:30:48.392 --> 00:30:51.684
You're investing in you because you identify what you want.

00:30:51.684 --> 00:30:59.990
Now, some people just kind of that's the whole purpose of really finding out what you want, what you really want from there.

00:30:59.990 --> 00:31:03.317
Then you get a team and your coach is part of your team.

00:31:03.317 --> 00:31:07.704
There you should actually demand results.

00:31:07.704 --> 00:31:09.372
You should get a return on your investment.

00:31:09.372 --> 00:31:11.644
This is what I'm looking for.

00:31:11.644 --> 00:31:13.644
This is what my vision is.

00:31:13.644 --> 00:31:20.442
This part of the coaching process is hey, that is pretty obtainable, or okay, let's have some real talk.

00:31:22.047 --> 00:31:28.065
Yeah, that's, that's powerful stuff, and I think probably there's a fair amount of fear in everybody, right?

00:31:28.065 --> 00:31:36.326
But, what law enforcement or all first problems need to understand is you didn't know what you know the first year or the first two years, like Right.

00:31:36.326 --> 00:31:37.730
I'll just speak in general terms.

00:31:37.730 --> 00:31:40.740
It takes six, seven, eight years before a cop kind of comes in.

00:31:40.940 --> 00:31:47.884
I think I've pretty much done this and been there Right, and so we can't go into this venture after you look at Instagram and think you're gonna be a millionaire in six months.

00:31:47.884 --> 00:31:59.257
There is some grind, there is some work, but that coaching process, monty, and especially you you can really shorten that Because you're able to almost pour firehose in them as far as information goes right and really.

00:32:00.926 --> 00:32:02.565
Yeah, and so We've.

00:32:02.565 --> 00:32:08.496
We've spent the time until your point like I've got the scars in the beginning where it did just about everything wrong.

00:32:08.496 --> 00:32:11.619
I had good ideas and you'll hear that all the time you.

00:32:11.619 --> 00:32:16.704
You remember being on the road, we parked, you know, car door to door and we talked about all kind of crazy ideas.

00:32:16.704 --> 00:32:21.497
You know, I ran off of one of these ideas and I was way too soon.

00:32:21.497 --> 00:32:23.628
With one of my training companies.

00:32:23.628 --> 00:32:25.795
I spent $40,000.

00:32:25.795 --> 00:32:36.634
That was a expensive seminar Because I didn't reach out and I didn't humble myself and Learned from other people that had or were doing it.

00:32:36.634 --> 00:32:44.098
So that's the difference and that's where it was proof positive to me that, yeah, it was well worth the investment.

00:32:44.440 --> 00:32:52.327
Today, I, I, you know, I literally invest folks salary, but what people?

00:32:52.327 --> 00:32:57.307
You know what people currently are earning on their salaries first responders.

00:32:57.307 --> 00:33:13.219
That's why I invest a year so that we are learning these technologies to get to the next level, because now I, now we know everything's possible and part of what I'm doing is I want to learn this and I'm gonna pass it to everybody that works with me.

00:33:13.219 --> 00:33:16.078
I'm gonna pass it to as many people as I can.

00:33:16.078 --> 00:33:18.730
I Want to teach people.

00:33:18.730 --> 00:33:22.587
It's your choice Do it, don't do it.

00:33:22.587 --> 00:33:28.849
You have the option, but that's a lot better place to be instead of I'm gonna stick around here 30 years, because this is the best I got.

00:33:29.727 --> 00:33:35.049
Well, when you talk about investing in yourself, if that's the only thing people take out of this, that's the only thing you take out of this.

00:33:35.049 --> 00:33:36.054
You did not listen.

00:33:36.054 --> 00:33:43.837
You need to go back and listen a few more times, but that's something when I was in the profession and I can speak for the vast majority of people in the profession.

00:33:43.837 --> 00:33:45.932
Well, I'm not gonna spend money on that training.

00:33:45.944 --> 00:34:04.325
I'm not gonna spend money on that course the department can spend money on that right and now, after I retired, I ended up really investing money into the things I want to do and it's paid a ton of dividends, right and so if we would, if I would have started doing that a decade ago, I'd be much further ahead.

00:34:04.325 --> 00:34:06.048
So it's very important to understand that.

00:34:06.048 --> 00:34:11.030
You know, the police department sent you through the academy and they taught you everything this.

00:34:11.030 --> 00:34:12.525
No one's gonna do it for you.

00:34:12.525 --> 00:34:19.809
You bet you can do it in a much shorter time period and you can get the right information, because there's a lot of bad Information out there, as you both know.

00:34:19.809 --> 00:34:25.092
If you just pick the right person and Monty man, listen, I could probably talk all day, but I would.

00:34:25.092 --> 00:34:26.378
I just want to.

00:34:26.378 --> 00:34:32.992
I want you to just tell people where to find you kind of kind of where they find you, what you do for people, and and and we'll go from there.

00:34:33.653 --> 00:34:36.170
Yeah, I'm like you said.

00:34:36.170 --> 00:34:44.376
I'm on Instagram, I'm on Facebook, linkedin and Wellington is one of our you know, my most popular social media.

00:34:44.376 --> 00:34:47.568
Monty, be a wealthy servant.

00:34:47.568 --> 00:34:50.396
You can find me and connect with me there.

00:34:50.396 --> 00:34:52.088
Love the chat with you.

00:34:52.088 --> 00:35:03.733
If you have ideas, if you have questioned anything, hey, I'm retired, aside from looking at some commercial deals and other things like that, I'll you know, there is a calendar that you can book a time we can talk.

00:35:03.733 --> 00:35:05.376
I love if you're just.

00:35:05.376 --> 00:35:08.407
Hey, I'm worried, do you mind?

00:35:08.407 --> 00:35:09.911
You have 15 minutes to talk to me?

00:35:09.911 --> 00:35:12.456
Hey, that's what I'm here for.

00:35:12.456 --> 00:35:17.192
I, before I left, my fiance said hey, this is.

00:35:18.014 --> 00:35:20.838
There's so much, like you said, there's so much bad information.

00:35:20.838 --> 00:35:24.664
You need to stick around, you need to make yourself available.

00:35:24.664 --> 00:35:30.338
You, you've been there, you've done that and you're at least one person they can trust.

00:35:30.338 --> 00:35:32.451
They know you've actually been through the door.

00:35:32.451 --> 00:35:36.833
If they know you've missed, you know, christmases and and on all these things.

00:35:37.134 --> 00:35:41.045
There's a lot of people out there giving bad information and that's my main point.

00:35:41.045 --> 00:35:43.190
You don't have to take everything that I say.

00:35:43.190 --> 00:35:50.032
I at least want you to be able to discern and Actually know why you're deciding.

00:35:50.032 --> 00:35:53.262
It's not because Monty told you to, or Travis told you to.

00:35:53.262 --> 00:36:08.164
It's because, okay, I hear what you're saying, I understand what you're saying and this is my decision, because I also believe it's a good Decision to make, as opposed to hey, monty just told me to, you know, to buy the stock or buy this business.

00:36:08.164 --> 00:36:12.005
I don't know why, but I'm just gonna do it and that's what people have right now.

00:36:12.005 --> 00:36:16.393
Hey, buy this 401k or invest this 401k and it should work out.

00:36:16.393 --> 00:36:19.099
Let's fingers crossed it should work out.

00:36:19.099 --> 00:36:21.251
It's not gonna work out, guys.

00:36:22.067 --> 00:36:27.012
Yeah, I don't wait till you're 50 and you look and go oh, wait a minute, I didn't mention that that 401k.

00:36:27.244 --> 00:36:30.539
Well, they didn't mention that Roth being better planned outside of the government entity.

00:36:31.306 --> 00:36:32.514
There's all sorts of things.

00:36:32.514 --> 00:36:39.237
Monty, if I could have found you when I was 21, I'm probably gonna beat somewhere sipping of my tie, but I didn't, and so we got a little catching up to do.

00:36:39.237 --> 00:36:45.938
But the service you're providing to the servants out there are amazing.

00:36:45.938 --> 00:36:48.445
I want everybody to know who you are.

00:36:48.445 --> 00:36:57.217
You can literally change the lives of the profession and you're not telling them they have to quit, but they could certainly get started and the day they walk away.

00:36:57.237 --> 00:37:00.206
They're not looking for a bank security card job, right, they they actually?

00:37:00.206 --> 00:37:14.463
Already set up and that is, to me, is really amazing, because we're not talking yes, we're talking money, but we're talking about a lifestyle that puts you with your family more, that puts you in more of a Better headspace, that puts you a better shape physically, and that's what that's about.

00:37:15.726 --> 00:37:21.699
Right, instead of like, hey, you know, wouldn't it be better, if you do those valuable hours?

00:37:21.699 --> 00:37:23.268
They're more valuable than you think.

00:37:23.268 --> 00:37:26.878
They're more valuable than a hundred dollars an hour that you're gonna do on your pay job.

00:37:26.878 --> 00:37:34.396
You know it's spent with your son, your daughters, your, your wife, your husbands, you know, your, your boyfriend, girlfriend.

Entrepreneur & Founder of The Wealthy Servant

USMC Officer VET | 32 Year Public Servant |Investor& Entrepreneur on a mission to help 1000s of First Responders experience the quality of life that comes with financial freedom

I loved public service and in great part because I wasn't financially stressed. Early in my career I pursued business ownership, business acquisition, and cash-flowing investments. Doing that allowed me the freedom to pursue a career and lifestyle that matched what I dreamed of. I now help First Responders throughout the country have the freedom to pursue wellness and fulfillment while serving and beyond by equipping them with the tools I found so they too can LIVE financially free.

We coach these First Responders to be leaders of themselves. To be dangerous through financial fitness and disciplined personal development. "He who conquers himself is the mightiest warrior." ~ Confucius
